Their Story…

“We are are small, farm winery that planted our first vines in 2009 and currently have about 3200 vines on approximately 6 acres. We have 7 varieties planted with future plans to expand. We now offer 6 wines in our tasting room, “Chatuga White”, an off-dry Vidal Blanc, “Trillium”, a blend of 3 grapes which are Sauvignon Blanc, Marsanne, and Vidal Blanc. Our “Red Clay Rose” is a naturally fermented Cabernet Franc. We offer 3 reds which are “Cynthiana” (aka Norton) which is a smooth dry red, “Deliverance”(yes, it is named after the movie that was filmed not far from us!), our biggest red, is a bordeaux blend from Tannat, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, and finally, our off dry red is “Chatuga Red” which is made with the same grapes as Deliverance but blended differently and some residual sugar has been added to make it a refreshing Sangria-like wine that is great served chilled. We have a gorgeous setting and facility for weddings, parties, etc. with events planned throughout the year. Our large two-level deck overlooks the vineyard and ponds and has a beautiful view of the mountains! Contact us for your next event!”

The microclimate, a combination of warm, dry summer days, cool mountain nights and well-drained mineral soils allows us to cultivate grapes that produce complex wines with fresh, assertive aromas and concentrated flavors.”

“At Crane Creek Vineyards you have the opportunity to taste and purchase the fruits of our labors. Come enjoy a tasting of our different wines and browse our gift shop. You are also invited to bring a picnic and enjoy the mountain view from our deck while enjoying a bottle of wine. We offer a great selection of fine cheeses, dips, salsas and pestos that you may take home and enjoy, or sit and enjoy here on the property.”
